Ambassadors of the Washington Global Health Alliance: Mobilizing passion and talent to advance the health of people worldwide.

Washington Global Health Alliance (WGHA) Ambassadors Program is an educational outreach program currently in its second year, focused on developing the next generation of global health leaders and advocates. Funded by the first-ever joint award from the U.S. Programs and Global Health divisions at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, WGHA Ambassadors aims to give students a well-rounded perspective of global health and how global health challenges need to be met by creative new ideas.

6/18/09 – Fil Randazzo of the Bill&Melinda Gates Foundation visits Seattle BioMed's BioQuest during a hands-on field trip for Health Sciences and Human Services High School..

4/27/2010 –Sixty Toppenish High School students were treated to an infectious disease lab at Washington State University led by Dr. Bill Sischo.

1/15/10– Two WGHAA schools made the US News and World Report annual list of America's best high schools!  Congratulations to Blaine High School (silver) and Health Sciences and Human Services High School (bronze)!

6/18/09 – Thirty WGHAA participants had front-row seats to see Dr. Paul Farmer. Here, HS3 students get the chance to score an autograph!

4/27/09 – Ambassador teachers held the first of three workshops at SBRI and were treated to a tour of the PATH design shop.
